15 صفحه اولHigh-throughput detection of pathogenic yeasts of the genus trichosporon.
The need for a rapid and accurate method for the detection of fungal pathogens has become imperative as the incidence of fungal infections has increased dramatically. Herein, we tested the Luminex 100, a novel flow cytometer, for the detection of the medically important genus Trichosporon. This genus was selected as our proof-of-concept model due to the close phylogenetic relationship between t...
متن کامل[Pityriasis versicolor and the yeasts of genus Malassezia].
Although pityriasis versicolor is the only human disease for which Malassezia yeasts have been fully established as pathogens, it is still not clear which species are implicated. Most studies carried out in recent years support our hypothesis - proposed in 1999 - that Malassezia globosa is the predominant species in pityriasis versicolor lesions, at least in temperate climates. Confirmation of ...

The number of species in bacterial genera is constantly changing, but let's consider how many validly named Flavobacterium species exist as of this writing. The "official" lists (e.g. http://www.bacterio.cict.fr/) must be considered with great care because they also contain those species that have already been transferred to another or a new genus within the family Flavobacteriaceae (Chryseobac...
